Complaints Legal Assistant | Tampa, FL

Job Responsibilities:

· Data Entry;

· Identify and correct errors ;

· Preparing and Uploading Initial Complaint Packages;

Title Claims Processor | Tampa, FL

Job Responsibilities:

  • Examine Title, Court Dockets, and Public Records
  • Request and review title commitments, settlement statements and loan policies from clients
  • Receive, review and follow up on lender title policies
  • Prepare and submit Claims Packages for title defects to applicable Underwriter
  • Review and process Underwriter acknowledgments, Letters of Indemnification, No Loss Letters and Claims Resolutions
  • Communications with Underwriters, Outside Counsel, and File Attorneys
  • Process and request fee approvals
  • Assess title defects and assign curative measures as needed to resolve title issues
  • Monitor and Maintain Client websites, updating client regularly via email and/or through client systems

Job Requirements:

  • Possess knowledge of legal documents with the ability to analyze and evaluate documents as it relates to title
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, prior title experience with Title Claims a plus
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Experience in LPS Desktop, Vendorscape and Lenstar preferred;
  • Must have excellent communication skills, high level of customer service and be able to work as a team player;

ALAW, an established, multi-state real estate and creditors’ rights law firm, is seeking a qualified attorney to support its Dallas-based Texas practice. This position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and a full benefits package.

Requirements:

  • The candidate must be a member in good standing of the State Bar of Texas, and be licensed (or able to become licensed) in the Texas federal district and bankruptcy courts.
  • The candidate should have 5-10 years of experience in civil litigation or creditors’ right practice.
  • The candidate must be willing and able to proactively manage a substantial case load and must be proficient in discovery practice and conflict resolution.
  • Appellate experience and knowledge of TILA, RESPA, FDCPA and the Bankruptcy Code are preferred.
