Biography
Jim Albertelli is the founder and chief executive officer of ALAW. He founded the firm in 1997 after practicing as an assistant district attorney in Georgia. He developed his expertise litigating in the state and federal courts of Florida and Georgia, as well as the bankruptcy courts in both states.
Jim has taught both residential and commercial real estate law at Florida Coastal School of Law. He focuses his practice expertise in the area of lender and developer representation, including, but not limited to, foreclosure law, bankruptcy law, condominium law, commercial acquisition and finance and real estate litigation.
Jim is a member of MBA’s MORPAC Steering Committee, the Florida Bar, the State Bar of Georgia, and the United States Supreme Court Bar and serves on the Board of Advisors for Emory University School of Transactional Law. He has won multiple awards for his work in the industry, including a HousingWire Vanguard Award and Progress in Lending’s Thought Leadership Award.
As a philanthropist, Jim is dedicated to many charities, including Feeding America, Habitat for Humanity, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, The Navy Seals Foundation, and his nonprofit entity Hero Flight, Inc.
