Jonathan Smothers is a managing attorney in the firm’s Alabama office. He graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and received his Juris Doctorate from Thomas Goode Jones School of Law.
For nearly a decade, Jonathan has honed his expertise in real estate law, making it the focal point of his practice. Before his tenure at ALAW, he was the senior attorney at a firm where he represented a spectrum of clients, from national and regional entities to local creditors, in all nuances of default servicing.
Today, Jonathan represents ALAW’s mortgage banking clientele, navigating them through all the firms’ practice areas, including foreclosure, bankruptcy, eviction/ejectment, litigation, title, and closings.
Jonathan is a distinguished member of the Alabama State Bar. His membership further extends to the bar’s specialized probate and bankruptcy sections. Moreover, he is admitted to practice across all three United States Federal Court’s Alabama Districts.
