Valerie Capobianco is a managing attorney in the firm’s New York Transactional Real Estate Division. She has extensive experience representing mortgage lenders and asset management companies, having previously managed the REO and Title Division of a national title and settlement company for over 10 years before joining ALAW. Valerie also regularly represents buyers and sellers on residential retail transactions and investors buying and selling multi-family homes. Aside from transactional real estate, Valerie has also litigated foreclosure actions on behalf of mortgage lenders.
Valerie completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Albany, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Business. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Albany Law School, accredited as the oldest independent law school in the country. She currently lives in upstate New York in the Adirondacks but is originally from Long Island. Valerie has practiced law in both the upstate and downstate markets, offering her invaluable perspective on the geographical divide of NY practice and the ability to seamlessly navigate those differences.
